SEUNGHOON LEE
Meet Seunghoon Lee, an experienced project manager in multi-sport event organization, he has always believed in the transformative power of sport to foster community, unity, and positive change. To further explore this belief, he’s embarked on an academic journey to find empirical evidence supporting sport’s societal impact.
VISION FOR PARA SPORT FUTURE
“I am currently exploring empirical evidence on how to leverage Para Sport and events for social change, not only within the host city but also in neighbouring cities and regions.
Specifically, I believe that interactive educational programs tied to these events have significant potential to leave a lasting, sustainable impact on the community. My goal is to develop a global program that harnesses new technologies to amplify these efforts.”
PROUD ACHIEVEMENTS
“As a project manager, I am proud to have served as the Venue General Manager for the Olympic Plaza during the 2018 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. Together with my team, we successfully delivered four opening and closing ceremonies, creating a unique and unforgettable experience for the approximately 600,000 visitors to our venue.”
ADVICE TO YOUR YOUNGER SELF
“I used to be afraid of making mistakes, which made me nervous and passive, especially in front of others. This fear often held me back from seizing opportunities to grow and connect with amazing people. Over time, I've learned that mistakes are part of the process, and embracing them has been key to my personal and professional development”
A MESSAGE TO SHARE
“Don’t limit yourself or your potential. Also, don’t expect others to do things for you—if you don’t knock on the door, it will never open on its own. Remember, your present is the result of the actions you took yesterday, so make each day count toward the future you want to create.”
